April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

During April, we recognize National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM) and the importance of communities working together to support and strengthen families and prevent child maltreatment.

Our Mission

NC Families United supports and unites the voices of children, youth, and families with mental health concerns to educate, support and advocate for improved services and lives.

What We Do

Helping The Community

Link families to State and community partners for the purpose of improving the lives of children, youth, and families with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.

Reinforcing our Commitment

Focus active attention on the unique strengths and needs of these children and their families by educating and advising policymakers, service providers, other advocacy organizations.

One Step at a Time

Actively promote policies and procedures that serve the best interests of these children, youth, and their families through work with State and local officials. Actively promote, model, and adhere to the values and principles of System of Care.

Our Vision

Children/Youth with serious emotional, behavioral and/or mental health challenges and their families will have a family driven, child focused System of Care to ensure their independence, safety, happiness and success in their homes, schools, and their communities.
