FSP 101 VIRTUAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITY!

 June 7-9 and 29-30TH

Parents Supporting Families: An introduction to Peer Support for Families with Children who have a mental health or substance use issues.

Becoming a Family Partner

The training is 40 hours. The structure of this training is an interactive three-day skill building participatory training with two-days of observation and practice. Each participant will receive a certificate upon completion.

  • Who is a Family Partner?
  • How to Share your Story.
  • Understanding Grief.
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Future Mapping
  • Certification Requirements

Youth Expo- May 15th, 2021 10am-12:30pm

The Systems of Care Collaborative in Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Orange, Person counties, in partnership with the AOCOP JJBH Team and the JCPC in the local counties invites you to register for their upcoming virtual Mini Youth Expo.

 May 13: Mental Health Crisis: What is Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training and does it work? webinar will be held from 12 noon-1:00 pm via WebEx.  May 14: Youth and Young Adult Panel Discussion for Mental Health Awareness Month will be held from 10:00-11:00 am via WebEx. May 5: Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week will be observed nationally May 2-8, 2021.  Several child-serving organizations in Guilford County have come together to hold a virtual panel to emphasize the importance of child well-being entitled “Flip the Script.” The panelists consist of trained professionals and community members with lived experience.  This special event in celebration of children and youth with a mental health condition is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5 from 12:00 P.M. – 1:30 P.M. May 11: Youth and Young Adult Panel Discussion for Mental Health Awareness Month will be held virtually from 2:00-4:00 on Tuesday, May 11th. May 20: Children’s Mental Health training will be held virtually from 10:30-12:00 noon on Thursday, May 20th.
