North Carolina Families United, Inc. (“NCFamU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect and use. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you interact with NCFamU through our website, programs, services, events, trainings, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, communications, and other engagements (collectively, the “Services”). 2) SMS Consent Message

 

By texting you agree to receive text messages at the phone number from North Carolina Families United. Message frequency varies, and standard message and data rates may apply. You have the right to OPT-OUT receiving messages at any time. To OPT-OUT reply “STOP” to any text message you receive from us. Reply “HELP” for assistance. Any information obtained through mobile opt-in will not be shared with 3rd parties except in situations that arise listed below in the "How we share information" section #5.

NCFamU serves children, youth, and families through programs and community engagements. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from minors without appropriate consent. For in-person or program participation involving minors, information may be collected from a parent/guardian and/or as required to deliver services, coordinate participation, ensure safety, and meet reporting requirements.

 

11) North Carolina Security Breach Notification

 

If NCFamU discovers a security breach involving certain personal information, we will take steps consistent with North Carolina’s Identity Theft Protection Act, including providing notice without unreasonable delay when required and cooperating with law enforcement when applicable.


In addition, North Carolina guidance indicates certain breaches may also need to be reported to the Attorney General’s office.

Our website or communications may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
