NC Families United & The Life Center Church Emergency Storm Relief Efforts
As Storm Helene brings devastation to our communities, we are launching an emergency storm relief effort to collect essential items and donations to support families in need. Together we will be distributing these supplies to ensure that no one is left behind during this critical time.
Warm Hugs for Cold Nights
In North Carolina, over 9,000 people experience homelessness on any given night. As cold weather approaches, it's essential to help those most vulnerable to harsh winter conditions, which can be life-threatening for people living unsheltered. To support our community, we’re launching "Warm Hugs for Cold Nights" a sleeping bag drive to collect and distribute sleeping bags before the temperatures drop. Hypothermia risk significantly increases for the homeless, with 700 deaths annually in the U.S. due to cold exposure.
